Watch for ice

Who shows up when you fall down? Is it your spouse? Is it your child? Is it your sibling? Is it your friend? Is it your pet?

This is a true testament of loyality. When you're in need, you really know who your hero is when they come to your rescue.

Who steps up to the plate? Do you let them step up to the plate, or push them away?

Do you remember times when you have come to the rescue of family and friends because that's what you chose and wanted to do? Have you reached out to those in need but were pushed away because you were too close to the situation? Have you wanted and want to help those in need? Do you remember times when you have reached out and no one answered, because that's what they chose to do, or they were too busy?

Why is it difficult for us to really become involved? What are we afraid of? Maybe we're afraid that we won't be strong enough to pick those up who fall. Maybe we don't have the time to give of ourselves. Maybe it's easier to pick those up who fall where we don't have an emotional investment.

Why do some pretend to step up to the plate with their empty words, but don't actually pick you up from the fall because their words hold little water? Or they'll pick you up after they've finished laughing their head off.

Watch for the ice

Until next time me
